A message to the 'Critics''
If you are really posting a serious 'critique', or you feel passionate enough to really rip my picture (and feelings) to shreds, you should do this in the most complete and comprehensive fashion, as it takes a lot more to be constructive critical, instead of just generally 'foo-fooing' some one else's work, and feeling all and mighty enough to say what YOU think art is, and what you think art is not!

Has art ever been wrong or right?
And if you don't like something, does that have more to do with you, than with the art work?

I'm very happy to take any kind of criticism which will help me in my approach to art, whether positive or negative, yet, if you only 'critiquing' to imply that you don't like something, seriously, what has this got to do with me?

There are many things I don't like in this world. If I didn't like liquorice, I wouldn't go into a liquorice store and say: 'I DON'T LIKE LIQUORICE', so if it is only that you don't like something here, then it's easier to walk away than to feed the negativity or to harm someone. If you saw an unattractive person on the street, would you go up to them and say 'I THINK YOU ARE REALLY UGLY'?

No, you wouldn't. But just because this is the internet, it doesn't mean a free-for-all, to be as insulting and ill-mannered as you want, without considering there is a real person behind the screen, or behind the webpage the you are looking at. If you don't like something, you don't have to insult the person personally.

I never claimed to be a professional, or even complete at what I do. I'm just submitting an emotion, or something that stirs me, I don't claim that it has to touch you, or 'impress' you, and I do not propose to be technically complex and draw something that will make you say that it's good, or that it's 'art'.

I don't need narrow minds, or seriously opinionated people. Feel free to be critique, but leave your ego at the door.

We are all here to learn and grow, and make art, however we personally define art, and that's a freedom and right I'm sure everyone wants to keep, so have some respect for other artists!

That's all,
Peace!
C.
